I recently came back from vacations with my girlfriend.
We had an amazing time in the beautiful island of Sifnos (Greece).
Have you ever been there?
We stayed in a beautiful traditional hotel in Kamares which is the island’s port. The hotel name was Sifnaika Konakia, which means simple, tastefully decorated rooms.

And that’s exactly what out room was! Now, I hope you don’t expect any rational person to spend all his time in a hotel room.
If you want to really have fun in a Greek island you have to rent a scooter or a motorcycle.
So we rented a scooter, we took a map and we started exploring Sifnos.
You can’t imagine the natural beauty of this island… So many places! So many taverns!
If you want to eat sth traditional you can order a nice mastello (which is made with lamb) or revithada (which is made with chick peas) and pair it with manoua cheese (nice and spicy).
Places to visit?
Kastro, Vathi, Faslou, Plati Gialo, Chrisopigi and the capital Apollonia (very beautiful at night).
Don’t forget to buy some souvenirs too! Sifnos is famous for its traditional clayware.
